REPORTS TO: Chief Technology Officer

THE ROLE: The Information Technology Specialist is (“ITS”) is responsible is for delivering a best in class information technology infrastructure and service to ensure that all Agency users have the requisite IT services and in particular support to deliver their day to day client services.  The ITS will work with the CTO to ensure that the Company’s systems and data security standards are at all time met and exceeded.


Typical tasks and responsibilities shall include:

  • Implementing systems and procedures for all aspect of IT implementation e.g. new product and platform launches, starters and leavers processes, access control procedures, login credential procedures, etc.
  • Carry out security audits and systems testing: Implementing and managing security or integrity and backup procedures
  • Evaluating the functionality of systems
  • Consulting with IT users to ascertain needs and to ensure that facilities meet user requirements
  • Selecting and purchasing appropriate hardware and software
  • Managing IT budgets
  • Ensuring software licensing laws are followed
  • Scheduling upgrades of software and hardware
  • Providing user training, support, advice and feedback
  • Utilize technology to create and track tickets for IT helpdesk and report on performance and KPIs
  • Show how technology is creating efficiencies and minimizing business cycles
  • Testing and modifying systems to ensure that that they operate reliably
  • Managing secure network access for remote users (where applicable)
  • Keeping up to date with new technology
  • Designing maintenance procedures and putting them into operation
  • Training new staff
  • Ensuring that Disaster Recovery Plans are in place and periodically tested
  • Ensure that Microsoft365 tools are adopted and properly used across all company departments
  • Regularly review IT costs and look at ways to reduce costs and increase efficiency in use of IT services
  • Create dashboards and graphs for data of software usage

Collaboration and Knowledge: Act as a superior collaborator that can enthusiastically partner closely with all Agency Teams to implement new systems and tools. Act as the chief IT evangelist of all things technology.

Instill and promote leadership in the field of IT and provide an inspired point of view, agility and versatility

Collaborate with the Technology Team to identify and assess best in class technology partners and products for Agency wide integration to improve performance of users
